Create a question that could be used for a quiz or exam to help focus your studies for the final exam.
CHAPTER 1
What displays are used for displaying catigoricalcategorical data?? (Charlotte)
What is anothera way of describing the variability of a data set? (Rosie) ("another way" suggests you have already described one way.)
Describe the steps in the process of statistical investigation. (Jeannie)
What type of display is appropriate for numerical data? (Courtney)
With a given set of data, create both a derive and interpret question and justify your questions as either derive or interpret.
(Cody)
What is a categorical information and what is numerical information?( Bailey)
CHAPTER 2
How do you find the mean, median, and mode of a data set? (Lexy) Give a data set and pick one measure of center. Also suggest how you want them to describe how to find the measure; conceptually or procedurally? So rework this one.
Explain how to move the mean while the median stays the same and how to change the median while the mean stays the same in the following data set...
5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 21, 26
(Katie M)
CHAPTER 3
What is the proper way to display a categorical - categorical association? (Colleen) Or "Choose two categorical variables that you believe have an association and construct an appropriate categorical-categorical association graph."
CHAPTER 4 How do you makefit a line on a graph (and if you lose your equation how do you get it back?) The second part is not something I would ask on a final exam nor something you really have to know as you can always just redo the manual fit.(bailey)
